I know what you're all thinking. Ok, so maybe I only know what I am thinking: What the frak are we gonna do with this here blog-thingy?
I know we are all dreamers and achievers, but let's start small, shall we?
Let's start by introducing ourselves to one another. Now I know that I know all of you, and some of you might know each other, but others of you might not.
Your first assignment! (should you choose to accept it) Offer up a little howdy-do post. Leave it as a comment to this post. It can be as long or short as you want, and you can get as in depth as you want (I was born a poor black child to a streetwalking mother who was kidnapped by a wealthy and well-meaning bald man who raised me up to walk in his footsteps as the offspring of a button factory magnate...) OR, you may keep it as simple as answering the following three questions:
~Your name
~Your favorite book (of recent times or of all time)
~Your favortie type of literature (to read and to write)
That is all, and that is where we shall start. So...
Hi! My name is Heather. You... all... should know me. Enough, in most cases, WAY more than enough in others. My favorite book/s of recent times - and probably all time, now, at least until something else comes along that blows me away - is The Hunger Games Trilogy. It was tragic, beautiful, edge of your seat fanfrakintastic. If you haven't read it (them, whatever) - READ IT. My favorite type of literature to read is really anything that is well-written and can make me feel something, anything, for the characters. I love fantasy and (apparently) dystopian fiction. My favorite type/s of literature to write are fantasy/paranormal/supernatural/dystopian fiction, comedic bits of pseudo-reality, and poems. The poems tend to be all about love, which is the reason I haven't written much poetry these past few years.
And there you have it. See it? See that ball? It's a-rolling! Your turn.

Heather---I love you! Thanks for your hard work on this....what happened to your procrastination??
ReplyDeleteOk, so my name is Carissa, NOT Clarissa, but maybe I just CAN explain it all. I guess I don't really have a favorite book in particular, but I absolutely LOVE The Chronicles of Narnia series. I don't have much time to read, so when I do, I usually like to read things that are useful--self-help books, usually dealing with parenting. ;) I actually hate writing myself, and Heather knows that, so I'm not sure why I was invited to join, but here I am. :)
